Philanthropy Committee
Abby Richardson
Hi everyone! I'm Abby Richardson. I am a third year studying Human Resources with a minor in Leadership Studies. I joined WIB fall of 2022 during my sophomore year and have enjoyed being a member ever since! This year, I am taking on more of a leadership role as a member of the philanthropy committee. I will serve as the liaison for Buckeyethon and WIB. I love going to OSU football games, spending time with friends, and watching tv shows and movies.
Sarah Ottesen
Hi everyone! My name is Sarah and I'm a second-year from Palatine, Illinois studying accounting. I joined WIB the very first week of my first year, and it's been a joy being a part of a community so excited to support and empower one another! I've always had a passion for giving back to my community and held several volunteer roles throughout high school, so I'm thrilled to get to work with and give back to my new community here in Columbus.
Anusha Kathiravan
Hello! My name is Anusha, and I am excited to be a part of the Philanthropy Committee this year! I am a freshman from St. Louis, MO. I have really enjoyed being part of WIB so far and applied for committees to enhance my experience further. I wanted to join WIB because I thought it was a great way for me to meet new friends that are all about empowering each other, and so far, it has been all that and more. In OSU, I am also part of a club called Tamil Sangam and I am part of their Event Aesthetics Committee. For fun, I love to listen to music, watch tv shows, bake, hang out with friends, and am an avid dog lover with two of my own! I am super excited to have this opportunity to serve on the philanthropy committee and for what lies ahead!
Ashvi Dhorajiya
Hi! My name is Ashvi and I am a sophomore in Finance with a minor in Social Psychology and Personality. Academically, I am interested in Consulting, VC & PE, and Behavioral Finance. Outside WIB, some of my major involvements are Mount Leadership Society Scholars, Buckeye Ventures, GLI, and the CIS OnRamp Innovation program. In my free time, I love to paint, sing, travel and do Yoga. Some fun facts about me are that I am an international student from India and have trained in Indian classical vocal and instrumental (Harmonium) music for ~6 years. I also do commissioned paintings occassionally! WIB is an organization that resonates deeply with my personal values and future goals, both on an individual and professional level. From networking with professionals to going to fun socials, it is a versatile community that strikes the perfect balance for me, which is why I wanted to join it. Within the Philanthrophy committee, I look forward to contributing and planning events that are aimed at mutual growth for all the members and organizations involved while providing diverse opportunities for community service and engagement!
Londyn Harris
Hi, my name is Londyn and I’m from the northern suburbs of Chicago! I am a first year student majoring in finance at Fisher College of Business. I love to take walks around campus and find new spots to do my work. I also enjoy trying new food places, and OSU has many options. My favorite cafe so far is Oxley’s as their breakfast sandwiches have changed my life. Other than WIB, I am a part of the Scarlette Magazine club where I work on graphic design. I wanted to join WIB to build my knowledge of business while having support from encouraging, powerful women. So far, I have accomplished so much in my professional life, something I would not be able to do without this club. I had no idea what to include on a resume nor how to format one until WIB’s business bootcamps. I am thankful for all the opportunities WIB offers. This includes the many committees one can be involved with. I applied for the Philanthropy committee to give back to the Columbus community and benefit others. I am excited to work with non-profit organizations to help share events that will make a positive impact on someone else's life.
